Press conference in Jerusalem
Zacaria Odeh coordinated the meeting. There were speeches by Sergio Basole , Rana Nashashbi and Wasal Taha.
On the morning of the 28th of October, the opening press conference to launch the World Education Forum event from Palestine took place in Silwan, just outside of the Old City of Jerusalem, in the Al Bustan Quarter (Hay Al-bustan).
There were speeches by Sergio Basole from the World Social Forum and representative of Palestinian political parties, Rana Nashashbi representing the WEF-Palestine secretary, Wasal Taha representing the Higher Arab Committee for Palestinian Affairs inside the Green Line, Al Bustan Committee (Silwan), and the General Secretary of the Teacher’s Trade Union. Zacaria Odeh coordinated the meeting and speaks of the meaning of the WEF in Palestine.
