Accountability Initiative Bangladesh

Accountability Initiative Bangladesh-AIB is a non-profit and non-partisan platform for accountability issues in both public and private sectors. AIB works for raising citizen’s voice & participation, demanding and exacting accountability, transparency, participatory governance and pro people service delivery in Bangladesh. AIB also dedicates its efforts on implementing Right to Information Act, popularizing and disseminating information related to social accountability tools, tracking and watching effect of aid & debt in Bangladesh.

‘All power belongs to the people’ says Bangladesh Constitution. But it still remains unfulfilled like our other dreams we envisioned during the Liberation War. AIB’s main objective is to create a conducive environment for greater accountability, transparency and peoples’ participation in the governance processes together with the citizens and likeminded organizations and networks.

It works for raising voice, asking questions and demanding accountability in that sectors.AIB also dedicates its efforts on implementing Right to Information, popularizing and disseminating information related to social accountability tools, tracking and watching effect of aid and debt in Bangladesh and other developing countries.
