Under the slogan "Act together for Another World : a world without FTA, Poverty, War & Discrimination!" Korean activists has focused the struggle against Lee MK regime
On 26th, the final day of the action week, a rally of WSF2008-1.26Global Day of Action and Mobilization was held at Seoul Station. On 25th ’Joint Action for Rights to Shelters’ press conference was held in Korea, highlightening peoples’ sufferings from Philippine North-South Rail project’s problems which forcefully evicted them.
Under the slogan "Act together for Another World : a world without FTA, Poverty, War & Discrimination!" Korean Organizing Committee emphatized that World Social Forum is focusing the reality stained with inequality, war and barbarism, oppression and discriminations which destroy people’s lives.
Korean faces a new MK Lee regime which is expected to push privatization and aggressive oppression on social movements after Roh’s neoliberal policies.
Talking to the alternative media press in Korea, participants of the Global Day of Action Organizing Committee said that " ’the economy’ Lee MK want to boost is just for business and the privileged" and "it will destroy workers’ and people’s life". They also emphasized "deepening poverty and enlarged irregular workers push women workers to the bigger oppression and discrimination."

Acording the GDA Korean Commitee, the spirit of 1.26 Global Day of Action and Mobilization is "to protest against globalization and war in solidarity with peoples struggling in the world". It also launch all out struggle against Lee MK regime who declare to extract the left.
They said "they will fight to stop neoliberal globalization, poverty, war and provocation on democracy and the Global Day of Action and Mobilization would be a starting point." They expressed deep solidarity with migrant workers, street venders, disabled people and Tae-an residents struggling after an oil tanker accident in the west sea.
The Korean Oreganizign Committee adopted main 16 agendas: △Stop KorUS FTA! Stop Korea-EU FTA! △ No War on Terror! Dissolve counter-terrorism alliances! Withdraw all deployed Korean troops! △Stop military alliance between Korea and Japan △No irregular workers! Full Labor Rights to all workers! △No agricultural-mutinationals! Win Food Sovereignty! △ No speculation on urban development! Stop Eviction! Win the rights to shelters! △ Stop aggressive control on street venders, people threatened by eviction and homeless! △Full labor rights and civil rights to migrants! Stop oppression on migrant workers! △ Stop anti-ecologic government project including Gland Korean Canal! No neoliberal globalization causing environmental catastrophe! △No Commercialization of education! △Stop discrimination against disabled people! △No water& energy privatization! No restructuring of public sectors! △ Social control on multinational and conglomerateur! △Abrogation of Natinal Security Law! No oppression on rights to rallies and demonstration!
