During World Social Action Week, protesters marched through Manila Philippines on January 24, 2008. Joseph de Jesus and Michael Torres explain why they have to march for Mindanao
"The real purpose of the US military forces is explores the resources of Minadanao", said the activist Joseph de Jesus during the march through Manila Philippines, as part of the Global Day of Action Activities.
"Te common action is that Mindanao is riddled with conflit. They say because of the Abu Sayyaff, and the MLF, who are labeled as terrorist organizations. Yet everyon in Phillipines know that Minadanao is rich in natural resources", he emphatized.
